We are a Team of Addiction & Mental Health Interventionists Committed to providing our Intervention Services to Families in New York
Our interventionists and family support specialists have helped countless families and their loved ones in New York with our in-person Interventions and online Family Recovery Coaching Services.
Family First Intervention is a nationwide intervention services company. We help families with loved ones who are alcoholics, have a drug addiction, and may be experiencing mental health disorder concerns. We provide families with these services and resources in New York and all across the country.
With New York State being the 4th most populous state and hosting New York City, the nation’s most populous city, we are frequently called upon to assist families and their loved ones in New York and the tri-state area.
When we first started providing our intervention services in New York, the most common addictions we faced were alcohol, heroin, club drugs such as GHB and Ecstasy, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and marijuana. Today, the most common addictions we see are alcohol, fentanyl, methamphetamines, and marijuana, often laced with other substances. Although first responders in New York State and New York City are some of the most responsive in the nation, it often still is not quick enough to tend to the rise in overdoses that we see in New York State and City and the rest of the country.
Addiction and Mental Health Intervention Services in New York
New York State and New York City have some of the most significant resources in the country, if not the world. Like almost every other state, professional interventionists with a family recovery curriculum are hard to come by. Most states, like New York, have their fair share of mental health hospitals, short-term treatment centers, addiction professionals, and independent or solo interventionists. What is lacking is access to long-term treatment with a dual diagnosis component that can address substance use and mental health simultaneously through an integrated treatment team. Our intervention services in New York understand this, and we have interventionists who address the family system along with your loved one with a drug addiction, alcohol problem, or mental health disorder. Being knowledgeable of the surrounding resources and resources in other parts of the country allows us to work with your family and your loved one to prepare an effective treatment plan.
Family Support In New York after the Intervention
Families in New York State or City who utilize our intervention services can follow our S.A.F.E.® (Self-Awareness Family Education®) Intervention and Family Recovery Coaching program from the comforts of their homes via their electronic devices. After your intervention, our support staff will assist your family and help guide you regardless of the outcome. We understand the importance of including the family in the recovery process and see the most effective results when families can effectively communicate with their loved ones.
An intervention should never be just about your loved one going to treatment. It should always be about addressing all those affected by alcohol, drug addiction, or mental health disorder.

An intervention is not about how to control your loved one with a substance use or mental health disorder; it is about learning how to let go of believing you can.
“The most formidable challenge we professionals face is families not accepting our suggested solutions. Rather, they only hear us challenging theirs. Interventions are as much about families letting go of old ideas as they are about being open to new ones. Before a family can do something about the problem, they must stop allowing the problem to persist. These same thoughts and principles apply to your loved one in need of help.”
